I have seen many on this sub! They are two of the most common dogs seen in mixes. https://embarkvet.com/resources/most-common-dog-breed-ancestry/

I just haven’t seen many that were just the two. I have seen many that had both and a bit more mixed in. And I definitely didn’t expect my girl to only have chow and pit/staffie.

She doesn’t have any other mixes in there? She’s so scruffy! I love it!

Ha! Only if she likes you. She was chunked out of a moving car when she was about seven months old. She absolutely does not do strangers. She loves our little family bubble and that’s it. She has to be put up for company. And who can blame her. Humans can seriously suck.

That's exactly how my pit/chow/golden/etc mix is. He was a stray at 7 weeks

Definitely chow characteristics. I’m a dog groomer and there are very few of us that will groom them.

That poor, sweet girl. She's so strong and brave to be able to trust and love you. Thank you for showing her that humans can be kind.

We have three rescues from pretty horrible pasts. We are lucky they gave us the chance to show them a different world.

We had a Chow, probably a mix, who was similar to that. Poor baby!! So glad you have her now!! ❤️

I wonder why his tail was docked? Docking isn't standard for any of those breeds.

Her tail isn’t docked. It’s just wagging in the picture 😊

Great to hear! XD Yeah, catching it mid-wag like that definitely made me think that it was docked long.

While this dog doesn’t have a docked tail, many APBT and AmStaffs have docked tails and clipped ears, regardless of if it is standard or not.

I own a pit myself, so I definitely knew about the cropped ears. Although dog fighters (Or just morons who want to make their pits "look tough") docking tails is news to me.
