Only an issue for people who have the port configuration of that Apple device memorized… for everyone else it’s a pretty generic way of saying “this can power a laptop”. Another case of the manufacturer cheaping out on the ad budget.

There is a USB port on the left of the HDMI. Why didn't they use that?

Why tf you get downvoted so much?

I don't know. I'm stating the truth. Although the other comments may have thought I meant USB-A by just USB.

It’s just a minor cut corner while making an ad on a tight budget that almost no one will notice and those who do won’t be confused in the slightest bit. We’ve all seen so much worse.
And the downvotes are because you are arguing with people saying that, so many of those who feel the same express that with a downvote.

Because the cord would have partially blocked the other port from being seen or AI isn’t that smart. One or the other.

This is a cheap render, but it's not AI at all...
We've come full circle. Now we're too skeptical of normal images

Now we're too skeptical of normal images
The biggest danger of AI imo. If anything can be fake, then nothing is real.

More like terrible illustration, product design seems fine

Ugreen is pretty decent in my experience. I'd rank them up there with Anker

Yeah I mean Anker is the gold standard for charging cables and blocks

Hey now, they stopped calling customer support about broken cup holders years ago.
(For those who are youngsters- when computers first got CD capability a lot of older people thought the slide out CD tray was a cup holder, broke it and called customer support to complain)

LMAO a classic
Still my favourite Internet interaction was super early on a forum when someone posted an exe for a free cup holder. Back when people would both just post exe's and run them without worry.
All it did was pop the CD Drive, shit was the funniest thing ever back then

USB-C can carry HDMI video, so it must go the other way around too, right?
Right?

u/Mirar 6d ago
A quick google says yes, you can charge with HDMI, https://www.anker.com/au/blogs/chargers/understanding-how-to-charge-laptop-with-hdmi
...but I'm not sure if an AI made that up or not

u/Magmagan *insert keming joke* 6d ago
AI slop. No, this makes no sense and isn't remotely possible.

How is it so many people don't understand what crappy design means? Social media brain rot?

Ugreen is actually my go-to company for solid cables, chargers, buds and other electronics if I don't want to pay premium for anker or whatever. They're solid and have never had problems with them.

Being a 100% Chinese company, they probably have some kind of screen recording feature built-in, in order to up the competition, and also spy on our devices at the same time. A wired RECALL feature.... 😂😂😂 JK
