[Post Game Thread] #8 Florida defeats #2 Tennessee, 73-43 Post Game Thread

Tennessee just played one of the worst offensive games I’ve ever seen in my life and scored 43 points.
How in the absolute fuck did NC State score 24 points in a basketball game.

I almost want to go watch that game to find out, and I almost don’t want to put myself through that.

I was present at that game. You don’t ever want to watch a single second of that game.
50
u/ConnorK5 NC State Wolfpack 1d ago
I was also at the game. It made no sense other than every single player had the worst game of their career all at the same time. And that's never happened before in the modern era. Others might think to themselves "we'll surely that's happened before." It hasn't. There's only 24 points on the score board for a reason.
And none of the shots being taken were egregiously bad shots. It felt like an act of god was preventing us from scoring. Every single chance for a ball to rim out it did.
Also, Keatts is just a bad coach.

I still vividly remember that day lol, I was moving into a new apartment and hoping to be able to catch the second half while unpacking things. As we were wrapping up moving things from the truck, my friend checked the score and said it was 13-9…to which I responded “Oh sick, did it get delayed or something?” thinking I’d be able to see more of the game than I’d thought I would.
Response was “no, it’s 13-9 with 6 mins left in the first half.”

And the officiating has been awful for the away team in almost all of them. SEC refs love getting attention from home crowds.

Can’t really blame the refs on this one. I would like to complain about the announcers however.

College refs will forever be awful. I think they get Bonuses for stopping games as much as they did tonight in your game

Awful. Just destroys any flow and makes the game about who can abuse the refs mental deficiencies the best. Usually that advantage goes to the team with the reputation for being “physical” or “scrappy.”
