Starting CS1 from the launcher vs Steam Help & Support (PC)

I've tried to launch CS1 from the launcher on my desktop but it says I dont have any Paradox games installed but when I start the launcher from Steam, it opens and shows CS1 in the laucher. Anyone else have this?

Have you verified the integrity of the game files via Steam?

This happens to me as well. Im pretty sure you have make a paradox account and then link it to your steam account. It should come up with cities skylines then. I personally don't have any other paradox games so I haven't bothered with an account. In fact I actually changed the steam launch options to skip the paradox launcher entirely when I launch the game.
