ON them. Cars have to slow down to go around us, and they cross the centre line into oncoming traffic. It's normal here

Oh what. In the Netherlands it's considered very dangerous to go on busy 80 roads on a bike. We have an amazing bike lane network, and most of the time bike lanes are parallel to the busy roads. I would probably shit my pants if i go biking on a 80 road haha

There are also 110kmh roads which can be cycled on called dual carriage ways. Rarely see people on those but some time trial riders will cycle them.
