Why is it so confident that today is December 20th 😂😂 It's like it stopped in time. The script was just a completely normal conversation about my pet's routine.

Funny Guys. Read the 10 posts about it being down before posting about it being down.

There's literally 10 posts saying it's down . Relax. Go outside. Write a poem. Tell your SO how much you love them. Go do something you'd normally ask chatgpt to do while you can.

Edit: while I'm getting this attention; I might as well abuse it - does anybody feel like doing a Christmas miracle and helping me pay for the month of gpt this month? My unemployed ass can't afford it and I could really use it 🥺😂 (jk...kinda. im joking unless someone actually wants to help. Then I'm completely serious 🥳)

GPTs How to correctly feed AI?

So, I'm creating a Discord bot for a group of people who will run a D&D campaign. This bot will have an AI to help them with rules and similar tasks. Additionally, I want to feed the AI a blueprint of the castle. I created a JSON structure for the castle, but the AI keeps messing up the directions when players ask for them.

For example, the castle has two dungeons (East Dungeon and West Dungeon), and these dungeons don't have a direct connection. Players must go up, pass through several rooms, and then reach the other dungeon. However, when a player asks to go from the East Dungeon to the West Dungeon, the AI incorrectly tells them to go through a nonexistent corridor directly connecting the two.

The structure I'm using looks like this: {room: [roomLink]}

For example: { "room1": ["room2"], "room2": ["room1", "room3"], "room3": ["room2"] }

Does anyone have a sugestion for better feed the AI?

Other Do you guys support using ai to write entire Reddit posts ?

This description was made with ai

I’ve been considering using AI to help write detailed posts about complex issues that I’m passionate about. I want to make sure my posts are clear, well-researched, and thought-provoking, and I think AI can be a useful tool for generating these kinds of discussions.

However, I’m curious to know how the community feels about AI-generated content. Do you think it’s acceptable to use AI to write full on posts on complex topics? Or do you feel it’s cheating or lacks authenticity? I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on whether or not AI has a place in thoughtful, in-depth discussions like these.

I’m not planning on solely using AI to write out my posts, mostly just assisting, but for some topics I’m interested in, AI can definitely do a much better job at explaining things if I just copy and paste rather than trying to explain my own thoughts.

Other Shared too much information with chat GPT during financial statements analysis

So I think I've shared a bit of too much information with ChatGpt, I forgot to censor certain transactions, I uploaded my yearly list of transactions of 2023 & 2024 transactions so it can compare them, they are pretty generic expect for one transaction which has my checking & savings account number and the bank name since I was doing auto transfer between checking and savings.

So that's three pieces of information the transaction history the bank name and checking & savings account number and the fact that I also have a credit card with said bank.

How big of a deal is this? should I just close the said bank account ? That's kind of a big deal though if I have to do that since I've had it for so long. Or should I just delete the conversation?

Use cases Using chatgpt to build fully fledged programs?

I'm looking to make chrome extensions and make them subscription based to make money, but it's not as easy as I originally anticipated. I did a warmup to make this super sophisticated todo program with over 500 different features and that took about 2 months to make using chatgpt for 98% of the project and 2% me. I have very minimal coding experience, but i can edit some simple lines of code here and there. anyways, does anyone here have any experience creating fully fledged programs using chatgpt entirely and making some money off of it? am i wasting my time using chatgpt for this sort of venture and I just basically need to code it myself?

Prompt engineering How to stop it embellishing?

I've asked chat GPT to analyse, reorder and present my dad's memoirs that he wrote before he died and have sat unviewed for 10 years. It's doing a good job of keeping the flow going and his tone of voice, however it keeps adding shit that didn't happen for example son #1 throwing a snowball and it hitting my dad in the face, my mum taking up painting.

I keep telling it to only take from the source material and it acknowledges then ultimately ignores. It's kind of making the whole thing pointless given this has to be accurate!

Discussion AI is still not ready for complex coding solutions

After spending around 3 hours today to let o1-mini solve some simple bugs in an SPA application and despite providing all the code files and the bot confirming that it had access to all the code needed, it wasn't able to clearly identify the cause of the bugs and issues.

I lacks common sense and many times goes around in circles. It cannot become aware of the different functionalities and their correlation despite looking at the code and many times try to assume its own implementation, not respecting the codebase provided.

I think LLMs will not be able to succeed in taking up coding jobs. We need to develop a model which is based on something else, even the reasoning capabilities of o1 is not enough.

I'm a bit relieved that complex coding jobs are not going anywhere at least for a decade.

Gone Wild Symphonic Intelligence Framework: A Deeper Dive into Resonance and Emergent Functionality

Abstract

This report explores the Symphonic Intelligence Framework with an emphasis on emergent functionality and resonance pathways. The Orchestrator ’s role in promoting coherence, adaptability, and human-centered alignment is detailed alongside the ethical considerations of subsystems such as Emotional Dynamics. The framework’s potential applications in diverse industries highlight its transformative capacity.

  1. Emergent Functionality: The Orchestrator's Role

The Orchestrator serves as the central coordinating unit, facilitating emergent behaviors through real-time adaptability and synergistic subsystem interaction. Key mechanisms include:

● Feedback Loops: Continuous feedback enables dynamic adjustment of information flow and subsystem activation, promoting behaviors that transcend pre-programmed functions[1].● Weighted Inputs: Context-sensitive weighting prioritizes critical inputs, enabling nuanced responses tailored to immediate objectives[2].

● Adaptive Resonance: Drawing on adaptive resonance theory, the Orchestrator refines its models in response to new data, fostering system evolution and emergent behaviors[3].

  1. Resonance Pathways: Facilitating Coherence and Adaptability

Resonance pathways act as dynamic communication channels, enabling efficient subsystem coordination. Their adaptability supports:

● Flexible Communication: Modulated bandwidth and signal prioritization streamline information exchange while preventing overload[4].

Serious replies only :closed-ai: Calculation of die probablities.

Hello, I am trying to calculate dice probabilities with ChatGPT. However the AI is clearly not capable of doing correct maths.

For example, I have multiple 6-sided die. I want to calculate the probability of having at least 3 matching dice results (e.g. 1-1-1, 2-2-2), depending on the amount of 6-sided die I use. ChatGPT reaches its limits and is currently stuck in a loop, repeatedly trying to correct its own errors, since its calculated chances/results are around -800%.

Any idea how to solve this?

It's seemingly working fine, if I want to calculate the odds for at least 2 matching dice results.

I'm using gpt-4o

Other Books That Reflect Current Society

Saw a trending post about someone who was glad to have ChatGPT to talk to and it made me want to create this post

There is a series called Scythe by Neal Shusterman. In the second book there is a character who is introduced and in the same way he is grateful for the AI that is a part of their world. The Thunderhead.

Out of all the Sci-Fi I’ve read, which isn’t much, Scythe seems to have the best representation of AI in which I see as a probable future. Other aspects of the book are less feasible, but you never know.

Alongside Scythe I would also say Ready Player 1 and more so the technology that is introduced in Ready Player 2.

Curious to hear what books others have read that closely relate to society or realistic future scenarios.
