Educate Me I need help fixing something
2017 Mitsubishi Lancer. This was hanging down about the centre of my car. I was told it was a heat shield. This morning I started my car, started fine. But all my warning lights are now on and I can't put it in drive. I look underneath and no longer see this. Car drove fine last night. I've been very careful and did not notice this coming off. I'd love to learn what I can.

The rusty pipe is your exhaust. The shinier metal near the rubber hanger is a heat shield. Of the rusty pipe is gone, your exhaust fell off and probably took at least one oxygen sensor with it, which is why your check engine light is on. It’s also possible that someone stole your catalyst.

Exhaust is still there, just the shield isn't. All my warning lights are on. Check brakes, ABS, engine overheating etc. Definitely isn't a stolen CC. Damn car is too low plus it was in my driveway with no way to access it. Would an 02 sensor cause the other sensors to spaz?

Losing the heat shield won’t cause any lights to come on. Something else has happened.

Is the exhaust loud when you start it up or does it sound the same?

What exactly is missing? Even if your exhaust is cutoff, it shouldn't stop you from driving. There could be something else going on here. Do you have any OBD2 scanners available to you?
If it is ALL warning lights, I would assume a battery/voltage issue or some wires got cut by something and part of your exhaust isolater or exhaust itself missing is just a coincidence.
