At the same time, the CT Libertarian Party is tweeting about how Democrats are "NPCs", Pelosi going to Taiwan, anti-FBI responses to Trump's home being searched, and one particularly tone deaf retweet of someone claiming the 2020 election was stolen.

Where is the engagement with CT voters? What is the CT LP gubernatorial candidate doing today? Which candidates is the CT LP endorsing? How will voting for those candidates improve the lives of CT citizens?

Political parties have one goal: Get people elected. The CT LP seems focused on everything but that.

My parents complain that all the doctors want to leave the state. Maybe it something about the legal climate in Connecticut. They complain about how long it takes to get a doctors appointment and how no one wants to retire here unless they have family here.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to date a nom liberal in CT? I'm 29 and tired of being verbally assaulted when people learn that I'm pro 1A, 2A. That I believe in freedom of choice and not government regulations. Just tired on constantly getting beaten down

The Libertarian Party of Connecticut is looking for dedicated, outgoing, and enthusiastic individuals to help raise funds for upcoming ballot access efforts and beyond.

At our convention earlier this month, we nominated several fantastic candidates for state office but we need some more financial firepower in the bank in order to support them. 

Last December, our central committee approved the hiring of fundraisers at a rate of 18% of donations received. So if you were to bring in a donation of $100 to the party, you would get $18.

The LPCT Finance Committee is currently looking for people for these roles.  If this something that might interest you, please send an e-mail to [treasurer@lpct.org](mailto:treasurer@lpct.org) and someone will contact with more details.

Be advised that the Libertarian Party of Connecticut will be holding its Regular Convention on April 2, 2022, 9 AM at the Courtyard by Marriot at 4 Sebethe Drive, Cromwell, CT to nominate its candidates for  US Senate, Congressional Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 as well as Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of the State, Attorney General, Treasurer, and Comptroller, and to otherwise conduct party business per its bylaws including the election of its officers and State Central Committee. Please refer to LPCT.org for any information regarding cancellations or postponements.

We are looking at what will likely be our biggest convention ever!

If you had previously registered for the Convention that was planned for January 29th, you are still registered for the new date. If the new date does not work for you, you can cancel your registration here. If you have yet to register, please do so here.

You must be a Regular Member of the Libertarian Party of Connecticut in order to vote on party business. If you are not yet a member, or if your membership has lapsed, please join or renew here.

Candidates who wish to seek nomination for offices for which we do not have ballot access are strongly encouraged to pull nominating petitions and begin circulating prior. You can access the application here.

Thank you for your understanding with the changing information regarding our Convention.

Due to the Storm's strengthening (12-24 inches expected in Cromwell starting tonight), and the hazardousness of travel across the state, especially from the Eastern half, we have decided the only option we have to ensure both the safety of our members and the legitimacy of our Convention is to postpone to a later date.

We regret the necessity of this decision but hard decisions must be made when Mother Nature plays its games like this.

To Confirm: The Convention will not take place on Saturday, January 29th in Cromwell as planned. We will update the membership on the rescheduled date and will work tirelessly to ensure our candidates get ballot access in November.

We appreciate your understanding as we've had to navigate this storm's progress. Stay safe this weekend.

Bob Stefanowski recently announced his candidacy for governor, and in his campaign materials so far the color scheme is definitely reminiscent of the Johnson/Weld campaign. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a deliberate choice or a result of there being only so many colors that print on yard signs well? Could this be a silent acknowledgement of the progress that libertarians have made in growing our brand in recent years?

I think that our number one issue should be the repeal of the Connecticut State Income Tax. If nothing else, it will generate a lot of excitement.

Good evening! As you heard in the title, our subreddit now has a new moderator: Me! I requested this subreddit because at some point in the past it fell dormant and became "restricted", but I feel like advocacy for personal liberty and smaller government is increasingly important and want that dialogue to be an open channel once again.

Reddit request approved the transfer earlier today, so I've begun the process of breathing some new life into the subreddit.

So, a quick introduction: I am a CT native residing in Middlesex County. I was originally an unaffiliated voter but changed to the Tea Party many, many years ago when the main plank was still anti-corporate bailouts. A few years later that party turned a little too authoritarian for my tastes and I jumped around between being unaffiliated again as well as being involved with both the local Democratic and Republican parties. So you could say I have a pretty broad perspective! But I finally found my home in the Libertarian party shortly after 2016 and have been here ever since. Ideologically, I tend towards centrism and pragmatism, but my intention with the subreddit is to welcome all the varying perspectives that exist within our Libertarian tent. It is my hope to emulate r/goldandblack more than r/Libertarian in terms of governance. While I understand the motivations behind r/Libertarian being a free forum, it is my hope to keep this subreddit more on topic towards local politics and also keep our community space from being brigaded (as often happens on free speech subs).
