We had kind of a whirlwind visit from my in-laws this week- not that we weren't happy to see them, but it was on pretty short notice without much planning.
We did have a nice time together though, which is the important part. My only issue was their insistence on eating out for most meals over the 4 days they were here, so as a result I never want to see a restaurant again (for now).

I'm in the office today. My stomach has been weird since Christmas, I had some sort of stomach flu that my SO had. Work wants me to come in and I worked from home last week when I was technically supposed to come in. I have been slowly recovering but maybe a day of normalcy will kick off the sickness a bit, I was getting feverish and a stomach ache with a relatively low amount of activity (vacuuming for 20 minutes since it was 70 and I had the windows open).
I might spend new years eve at a state park inn but I don't know how much that makes sense if I can barely walk.

New boss is saying his first goal is to setup a system where we have more than one accountant on each client so we can actually use sick time/PTO. I’m praying he does because I just counted and I’m losing two weeks of my PTO tomorrow.
Since I have to work today, I’m going to get some groceries tonight. Thinking of doing pulled pork and coleslaw for tomorrow and Wednesday. Will probably have a lot to freeze since it’s just going to be me at home until Saturday night

Thanks for reminding to check my PTO balance. Even if it’s just an extra half hour to keep from the “man”

That sounds like you should ask to be paid for your PTO. If you are unable to use PTO then you should at least be paid for it.

I’m going to do an errands day with one of my besties. Going to lunch, Target, Starbucks, and most likely Wegmans

Wegmans has nearly everything. I mean their lunch is not half bad.

Some sanity. I need some sanity over here!
I called up UHC earlier because my pharmacist was like “yeah so your plan was terminated” yesterday. After 50 minutes of being on the phone with them, they were able to override the prescription denial and told me that every single plan from my employer was accidentally terminated due to a system update that happened last week. At least my pharmacist told me about the insurance thing being “denied!”
