Maybe I’m an ignorant Euro, but I believe that if KH had been a 60yo white man, we’d have a President Elect Harris right now.

Democrats in general had a rough night. Plenty of old white male incumbents lost their comfy seats while plenty of women kept theirs.

The Biden administration has been net negative in popularity since 2021. Like 32% among the general population and only 60% among his own party.

Which tracks with the global trend that incumbents aren't popular. You don't get anymore incumbent and Establishment then Biden's administration.

So Biden's campaign of 'more of the same unpopular administration' wasn't exactly the most winning strategy. The polls weren't favorable before the debate is what I'm saying.

Harris's popularity wasn't amazing before she took office, most of her initiatives fell flat like solving the border crisis early on, and so her popularity became coupled with Biden's administration. Which for Vice President is fairly standard.

So maybe it was sexism. Or maybe it was the fact that Harris was linked to an unpopular administration, explicitly ran on 'more of the same unpopular', ran as an Establishment incumbent during a period of incumbents being voted out, and never had national popularity.

Harris performed terribly in the 2020 primaries, demonstrating either that 1) she is a terrible candidate or 2) Democrats are racist and/or sexist. Since Obama and Hillary have both won nominations in the past, I think we can conclude that 1 is the correct reasoning.

The whole world is unfortunately subjected to American politics. Even after I leave this third-world nation in a Gucci belt, I will still have to be aware of its politics because it will impact my industry.

Oh, we’re already feeling the effects of having this clown show re-elected.

We Finns joined NATO, bought US F-35s and worked really closely with Biden’s gov, only to end up with a Putin-puppet who’s already showing nothing but weakness toward Russia’s anti-West dictatorship.

Republicans gains were with minority voters 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is a very simple view. I personally am never running to the polls with the thought “I need to vote for the person that’s the right gender and race”. Never been my top two reasons for voting.

Strongly disagree. Kamala was out of touch with the common voter and her campaign was basically “I’m not Trump (but I am kind of)”

Strongly disagree. I’m a European but I was nevertheless very aware of what her agenda was.

  • a cap on prescription drug costs
  • a $25,000 subsidy for first-time homebuyers.
  • eliminate taxes on tips
  • create a $6,000 child tax credit for the first year of a child’s life
  • eliminate medical debts
  • controlling prices to combat perceived price gouging for groceries and food,
  • no government interventions in family planning
  • first ever Presidential ticket to favor legalizing cannabis
  • no ban on fracking

Et cetera, et cetera

There were readily available online and repeatedly features in interviews and debates.

KH didn’t have what it takes. Not because she wasn’t white or a woman, she just wasn’t the right person.

Seemed plenty right to me, but what do I know.
