First axe head I ever hung, True Temper (I think) Jersey.
Here you see it on the 2nd handle I put on it. Being my first time hanging an axe and without the tools I have now (Shinto rasp especially), I figured it deserved a little better. It is now on an Ash 28NEC from Whiskey River

I quite like them a lot. They're still thin but have enough material to hang a full weight head and not feel flimsy. I have a plumb Connie on one of the hickory 28necs that feels great

Both beauties ! I kinda thought the palmswells looked a little small when I first saw them. That’s what made me hold off on pulling the trigger on one. Thanks for the input !

They're certainly not the massive kind on the C series but for my hand there's plenty of flare. Also, there's still plenty of material that you could shape it to have a more aggressive swell or hook

It about 3.5lbs - 3.75lbs

Damn, it looks huge. Must be the wide bit. I have one that's 4.75 pounds that looks way smaller, all the weight is in the poll.

Yeah it is quite a wide but thin bit. From heel to toe the bit it about 5 7/8" wide
