Guys with extremely loud vehicles, why do you do this to everyone?

I thought loud exhausts were cool when I was 16 too. Then I grew up.

Problem is that these dudes peaked in high school and never matured past that level.

I like to call it Perpetual Adolescence. It's a serious and common illness.

Even as a teenager, I understood the concept of exhaust tone. A muffled roar could express authority and increase performance, while a raspy, brassy, exhaust tone was just painful.

Exhaust system design is a tradeoff between size, sound, and performance. A larger volume in a muffler will give the same performance as no muffler.

i will never understand reddit... x person likes something I don't like, so x person had to of peaked in high school, or any other hurdur insult you can come up with. Then i remember reddit doesn't represent most people, just a very loud vocal minority of insufferable people who believe everyone they dont agree with on everything is less than.

I mean, subjecting others to obtrusive pops and bangs just because you like it is a pretty immature thing to do. So what age should we peg this behavior at? Maybe middle school would be a better bench mark? 😅

Hurdur.

Okay little buddy 👍 Keeping popping away, you are definitely a big boy.

Hurdur.

Usually people actually try to defend their bad behaviors. I do have to admire your sheer commitment to coming across like a belligerent middle schooler (hey look, I pegged the age just right!)

You’re talking to someone incapable of self reflection

sigh, I know. I suppose it is just a way of making myself feel validated. Thanks for the reminder!

It is a part of maturing to understand that just because you like something, it doesn’t mean you should bother everyone else with it. Having a car that’s as loud as a concert speaker is just being an ass to everyone around you. I don’t need woken up in the middle of the night or to have my ears ringing because you like loud cars.

Part of maturing is not needing to randomly insult people.

6

u/Practice_NO_with_me 1d ago

It’s not random tho 🤦‍♀️ Like, it’s the opposite of random - it’s an insult based on one very specific behavior. But go off.

It’s random. You like loud cars. We’ll Hurdur high school. It’s so dumb. It’s just tiny people gathering in one place on the internet to be miserable.

u/Practice_NO_with_me 1d ago

Oh I think you misunderstood - we DON’T like loud cars. Oh shoot are we actually accidentally on the same side of this??

You're pretty much proving everyone right with the way you're acting. Childish af. Be louder and get some more attention, baby.

u/JamesGarrison 1d ago

Sure man. Pointing child like insults. With no purpose. Makes me child like.

Solid logic.

4

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1d ago

If you do the thing I’m talking about, it isn’t an insult. It’s just an accurate description of your behavior.

0

u/JamesGarrison 1d ago

Sure man. Everyone here is just so full of disgust. It’s like Reddits the unhappiest place on earth.

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1d ago

People generally don’t enjoy getting woken up, not being able to hear each other talk, or getting their hearing blown out at random. You’re gonna piss a lot of people off by doing that.

I’ve done derbies. I like loud cars too. But not in residential areas and especially not at night or early in the morning.

1

u/JamesGarrison 1d ago

People? What people? Reddit people? Entire industries exist around people gathering in areas too loud to talk.

Reddits just the most miserable group of people on earth.

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1d ago

No, people in general. I’ve lived in apartment complexes where people got fined thousands of dollars because of their vehicles being too loud and them getting dozens of complaints filed against them. One guy who had a toddler who had trouble sleeping just straight up punched one of them in the face over it.

Being sleep deprived does tend to make people miserable.

If you choose to go somewhere meant to be loud, then yeah. It’s cool. People generally don’t sign up for that in their own homes.

Yes, THANK YOU. That was such a strange justification when it hinges on the fact that 1) people are actively seeking loudness out and 2) THEY CAN ALWAYS JUST LEAVE. 😭🤦‍♀️

A redditor telling people what people are like. While shockingly naive to the fact the world disagrees with most all of Reddit culture.

What a sad echo of an existence. Isn’t even your own.

Bro, you are reddit people.

2

u/GoldieDoggy 1d ago

People in general, buddy. Ever wondered why many cities and towns have these things called NOISE ORDINANCES?

Gotta remeber that Reddit is 1/1000 in the world. So naturally reddit is full of user who complain and moan and it's an acho chamber. "loud cars bad, peak in high school...." If you dont belive me, go check out the LA subreddit.

I loved Reddit 10 years ago. Now everyone’s just miserable. And seething at everything.

Sad existence.

I laugh a bit every time someone talks shit about redditors while they're on reddit. You'd appreciate the irony if you knew what that was.

I'm like 90% sure that you drive a loud af truck and park in multiple parking spaces.
