That's a great result, props.

That’s PB and hanging on my garage desk. Not quite enough to be on the wall of the range. But good enough for me to hang. Lol. Sadly after that, i declined. Maybe because i’m slowly stepping away from Archery. Life happens and can just do it a couple of times a month now. I hope I’ll be in shooting shape come outdoor season so i can shoot more tournaments. 🍻

The score I was most proud of was a 640 FITA field round with my barebow, with a 322 on the unknown day.

At 18m in competition 283 but with world archery rules: your X is a 10, all the remaining yellow is a 9, with x23 arrows.

Never tried a Vegas round with x27

~1340/1440 in a full fita with compound. 36 arrows each at 90m, 70m, 50m, 30m. Been a while since then.

I miss shooting at 90m, and in the wind and rain lol.

What distance?

u/Additional_Impact_35 2d ago

Any, just your best score, could be from like 2 feet or 100

1

u/-gloria-borger 2d ago

2 feet is shorter than my arrow length. The arrow would literally be touching the target and my bow string at the same time. I reckon I could get a perfect 300.

u/CumbersomeNugget 2d ago

All it would take is destroying your bow and arrows...

1

u/-gloria-borger 2d ago

Would that really destroy anything though?

Depends on the round type. Shooting inner 10 ring on a Vegas face my best is 274

3

u/MelviN-8 2d ago

Most people are not considering the difference between world archery rules and Vegas, that makes a huge difference.

u/WhopplerPlopper Compound 2d ago

Indeed. My scores would be considerably higher if I was shooting 27s and outer ten like Vegas style. Alot of my 9s are in or touching the outer 10

287 on 5 spot

I routinely get microwave scoresheets LOL

For indoor, barebow (3 years shooting) 276/300, compound (3 months shooting, Vegas scoring) 290/300. New years res is to shoot a perfect round, but I'm gonna have to work hard for those 10 points.

220 on Vegas at 20 yards. 40 lb Tatar bow

u/NotYourNormalMango 2d ago

204/300 on a 40cm target at 18m. Olympic Recurve. It was on Halloween too, so it was even more fun.

u/turdmcuget 2d ago

54X300 at 20 yards on a 5 spot in my compound days.

u/Grillet 2d ago

Indoors 18m 40cm target
289/300 in practice, 286/300 in competition.
573/600 in practice, 567/600 in competition.

Nowhere close those scores today though but slowly getting there.

u/Unknown_5461099 2d ago

In a 20 target round I scored 312 out of 400 on recurve and I had been shooting for around 4 years (not competitive)

Indoors:

  • 296 15x Vegas 300 (WA arrows)
  • 573 WA18m practice, 569 competition

Outdoors all the rounds have changed since I last really scored anything, so nothing particularly relevant. Last I can think was ~1310 on a WA1440 round.

277/300 olympic recurve 18m but at 32lbs. Now I'm at 38lbs & struggle to get that 27x range 🥲

The shitty thing is, the threshold for the USA Archery Bronze Award is 285.

u/GildedDeathMetal Compound - Australia 2d ago

I think distance matters my bud

2

u/gageadams5499 1d ago

Op is shooting a Vegas face so I'd assume 20 yards (18 meters for the commies)

4

u/Additional_Impact_35 2d ago

Didn't ask for distance, I asked what's the highest you've scored, you have to decide that distance for yourself, you could choose your best at 10 meters, 40, 70 ect. It's all about you, what is the best score to you.
