Nerite snail shell chips Help
Is this something to be concerned about? I bought 3 red racers about 2 months ago. I don’t remember if these chips were there when they came from the store, but I’m wondering now if they’re a concern or how to help them. Only one of the 3 has them. Of the other 2, one is perfectly uniform shell, the other has a white tip on the spiral of the shell which I’m assuming is also a chip.
There are calcium sources in the water, cuttlebone. 6.8 pH, 8GH, 2kh. 20 gal tank, cycled for about 4 months. Snails added 2 months ago.

It’s likely from when they were collected from the wild (all nerites are wild caught) as it doesn’t seem to be present on the new growth in the pic. However, your ph is too low for snails and will cause problems, if it hasn’t already. It should be 7.4+
