Usually with my nerites I can just slide them around, they know they aren’t in danger and just kind of chill if I pick them up lol

The amount of times I got nerites out of a dangerous situation they climbed to is insane! They are always so wacky climbing onto plant stems knowing full well they can’t flip over after they fall.

my snails completely rearranged my tank. i absolutely love watching them climb to the top of the plant and watch them graciously fall on the floor of the aquarium. hilarious pets to have!

Some of mine will go to the top of the glass and then detach and free fall lol, sometimes I’ll just hear a clank and see one on the bottom of my tank

My Nerites are boring. They are cool and I love them but mine rarely go above 6”, one is always underground. I thought it was a mystery at first with how it’s acting. My mysteries did all kinds of these antics. Scrapping their radula on me any chance they got.
Edit: LOL it is a mystery. I didn’t wait til the end and I thought it was a nerite from other comments. I’m way too impatient but I truly thought I went to the end.

I like to leave them up there. I think they enjoy the buildup of mineral/plant matter along the water line. Mine goes up there daily but has never gone any higher

Mine like to eat, and eat, and eat. Then I have one blue mystery and she loves paranailing. The other ones will learn when they get bigger.

Imagine having to spend days scaling a glass wall while carrying a home on your back only to have something knock you back into the watery prison you're trying to escape. Your only option is to start the climb all over again.

My Mystery Snails would always comfortably climb above the water line and chill for a bit before dropping off the side and crashing back down onto my poor plants. It was like they were taking little air baths. If I ever keep them again, I will select different plants that can withstand snail canonball attacks.

my mystery snail goes on walkabouts regularly. when i go on vacation, i alway warn the pet sitters to keep an eye out around the floor around the tank, in case he's out exploring.
