This snail is a hitch hiker in my newly setup tank (dirted planted mid tech). I had posted a similar snail id post not too long back and most said its a mini ramshorn. I m unsure whether this is the same one which has grown up a bit. Will attach tank details in a comment below.

This is a pond snail. Mini rams stay at 5 mm and stay looking the same for their whole lives.

I have taken him out just in case. I was getting an eerie feeling that he is gonna grow too big. Is he good to have?

They're good and fine and most species will not get bigger than 3 cm maximum. There is one species that can get to 7 cm but you are very unlikely going to get them by accident. They take longer to mature than other hitchhiker snails, they're weird that way.

Tank details: Dirted planted tank, 2 weeks old, ongoing cycle, mid-tech (if that's even a thing) as it has a hob filter, lighting and it's dirted. Some other plants in tank are Anubias (Nana & petite), Hygrophilla pinnatifida, marsilea hirsuta, ludwigia repens, cabomba, Java fern, moss, staurogyne, m/c & a crypt. Most are growing somewhat decently (atleast acc to my observation). I m making 1 water change per week 30-40% + cleaning out the filter wool and sponge. I have old mature bio media n some sponge deep inside the filter which I don't regularly clean. I also have a magnetic glass cleaner which I use to scrape and clean the tank almost daily.
