Whose damn baby is this? Help/Advice

Controversial post 😂😳 I have platys, swords, Mollys, tetras, rasboras, and guppies. This little guy came out so plain I thought he was a feeder goldfish. Who do you think he came from?

Fin shape and body makes me think molly.

Thank you! It’s the most colorless baby I’ve seen from them

I have plates and mollies breeding in my community tank, some don't get their colour until they are bigger.

Interesting! Thanks for that knowledge. This is my community that I let do its own thing, and all my (what I thought was) molly babies have come out grey with some yellow.

Guess it depends on the colours of yours, the "hidden" genetics and if you've had them for only a short time, you might not be seeing "your" babies. Mollies can hold sperm for a couple of months and then they are usually pregnant for 50-60 days.

How to get lishy moss like that ? Mine isn't growing and only getting algae from 3 months... I've dimmed the lights and not overfeeding either... I would like to know your secret and a pic of your tank

My secret is to definitely leave it alone! Except fertilizer every two weeks- which I haven’t done in months. This tank also ONLY get water top ups, not changes, and has a lot of different plants and fish. It took it half a year to get this way!
