Copepods/Daphnia/Moina/Black Worms possible to cultivate in community tank?

Would it be possible to sustain a population of “food” fauna in a community tank? How would I go about intentionally introducing them to my tank, just order some eggs or a culture online and put them in?

these zooplanktons/micro animals need a nutrient and phytoplanktons rich water to thrive. when there’s a sudden imbalance and phytoplankton dies, it’ll trigger a nitrogen spike so i do think it’d be better to separate food source from the main tank.
