Just bought him at a auction for $4 not sure how big he will get or suitable tank mates

Not certain but I'd wage to guess a black otto maybe?

Looks nothing like an otocinclus, the body shape and mouth are completely different. This is a brown hoplo.

Use Google images to compare next time.
