Time to let him go to a pond Discussion/Article

Post image

This is my gorgeous, healthy golden comet, Sozin

When I got him about 8 months ago, I was planning to get a 4 foot tank and leave it mostly bare, plans changed and now my tank is about 3 foot and pretty filled out, no suitable for a comet.

Yesterday I put him on gumtree for free, saying I'd give him to anyone with a pond and even bring him over for them.

Today someone's reached out saying they'd love to give him a home in their pond.

A friendly reminder to all that if you can't give a certain fish a comfortable home, the kindest thing is to find someone who can.

Update: the guy I brought him out to today showed me his "pond"

Puddle would be more accurate.

100 litres, and he's got 4 baby koi in it. He didn't think goldfish got that big, let alone koi. I told him he's not having him.

Back to the search.
