Is this tank too small for this catfish? Catfish
He seems happy, but he did struggle to turn around a bit.

This type of cat fish is liquid, so you good as they take the shape of the recipient. There not much else you can put there tho, it’ll just sleep on top of it.
Here’s a paper on the topic https://live.stemfellowship.org/the-ig-nobel-prize-why-are-cats-liquid/

I used to have the same fish. I kept her in the lid of an egg box most of the time and she is still going strong. This tank is definitely big enough

I'm afraid you've fallen victim to a scam - that is actually a fish cat, not a cat fish!
If you can, return it!

Normally I would say yes, however, the size of the tank is irrelevant due to the amphibious nature of this breed of catfish. If used without a lid so the fish may enter and exit the tank of its own free will, the space is perfectly adequate and humane. This particular breed of catfish is also known for liking improbably small containers, a behavior often colloquially known as “I fits, I sits”, so technically, you could downsize if necessary.
