Bro got stuck in a spiral, went back where the game is still in development

No way Remedy will outdo the Ashtray Maze though...

25

u/CageAndBale Oct 19 '24

I don't think there was a section like that this time around

27

u/dratseb Oct 19 '24

No but there was the dance level

13

u/Meh24999 Oct 19 '24

I feel like the ash tray maze and the darling music video had a baby and out came the Alan wake dance level

2

u/MuricasOneBrainCell Oct 20 '24

I prefered Alan wake: The musical. The maze was great but the choreography of the musical alone is enough to say its better. You combine that with game mechanics and its a masterpiece.

(IMO)

2

u/Soundwave_47 Oct 19 '24

The actual gameplay didn't affect the music as in the Maze.

15

u/FiftyIsBack Oct 20 '24

It sort of did. If you didn't progress, they'd start playing a longer bridge and wouldn't progress the song until you actually progressed.

3

u/palescoot Oct 19 '24

Herald of Darkness..?

3

u/CageAndBale Oct 20 '24

It's fun, idk if I'd say ashtray maze intense

1

u/Byrnstar Oct 21 '24

Ashtray maze was action. The Herald musical was the drama kids* having way too much fun lol

*read: Sam and Marko being adorkable besties

3

u/VinnyLux Oct 20 '24

It's called Dark Ocean, Summonninnnnnn!!!!

0

u/SpamSamHam Oct 20 '24

They did tho with the Dance sequence

9

u/solo13508 Champion of Light Oct 20 '24

Yeah, that's the joke.

0

u/brenobnfm Oct 20 '24

Well, they didn't

u/NarcissisticGamer Oct 19 '24

Same here dude! I do wonder now that Control is confirmed to be set in the same universe of Alan Wake, if we will see the FBC in any capacity? 🤔

14

u/Freaking_Username Oct 19 '24

There were FBC references in Alan Wake remastered, so i think Alan Wake 2 will have plenty!

Maybe we will even see Estevez, since she is mentioned to be in charge of Bright Falls AWE

0

u/Much_Ambition6333 Oct 20 '24

Im pretty sure that we're playing as her in the dlc

21

u/Hovercoww Oct 20 '24

Kinda weird to be thinking about the dlc before the main game is even out tbh. Would be sick tho

27

u/Alimaneanman95 Oct 19 '24

Back to the beginning...

15

u/Arktos22 Oct 19 '24

I still need to beat the game. Not sure why I put it down cause its awesome and I've had it since day one. I might honestly restart the game and try to beat it in the next three days.

9

u/Aonswitch Oct 19 '24

I feel that. I really liked the game but it took me a good bit longer to get through it than a lot of other games. It’s a bit emotionally and mentally heavy so think that means I never wanted to binge it.

10

u/theworldwiderex Oct 19 '24

I had to pause and physically think about everything and how it all connected a few times.

What a cool piece of media.

3

u/ScrumptiousChicken Oct 20 '24

It took me about 8 months to beat it, but as soon as I got to the Old Gods chapter a little over halfway through Saga’s story I couldn’t put it down and finished it haha

2

u/Boo-galoo19 Oct 20 '24

Lmao are you me? That’s exactly what I did, finished the game got hooked as fuck and immediately played through the final draft

1

u/Sirvolker757 Oct 20 '24

i feel like remedy games tend to lull a bit in the middle and then pick up like crazy at the end

2

u/Lumbee_Native_NC Oct 19 '24

Me too. I was on chapter 4 or 5😅.

1

u/AdvantageFit1833 Oct 20 '24

I put it off for a long time and decided to continue a week ago, just five minutes ago finally watched the end credits... What a journey it was!

10

u/CustardPigeon Oct 19 '24

Yeah looking forward to it, it's been a long time since remedy released a full game, so I am gonna be on this release day one

11

u/Cryptics33 Oct 19 '24

I hope we have like at least a song from Old Gods, dunno if they're gonna make a whole thing out of it or just a easter egg track...

2

u/Greatcorbeenee Oct 20 '24

Idk I hope they show me the champion of light

1

u/Boo-galoo19 Oct 20 '24

It’s not a song it’s a record

6

u/lllaser Oct 19 '24

I feel like I'm in some sort of loop, or something.

3

u/Dirty_LemonsV2 Oct 20 '24

It's not a loop. It's a spiral.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '24

i'm so hyped i rebought the game on Xbox Series X with the dlc just so i can do the new zealand trick to play it a bit early XD

6

u/Important-Teacher670 Oct 19 '24

Fine…I’ll play through it for the 5th time.

18

u/pgt_omer Oct 19 '24

Man I hope we see Max Payne in that game. Last time I checked he was bald and fighting with Mexican cartels.

10

u/FullMetal000 Oct 19 '24

Brazillian gangs and paramilitaristic cops*

14

u/Kennett-Ny Oct 19 '24

You mean the DLC is gonna be fire?

5

u/SchemeWorth6105 Oct 19 '24

I’m still waiting for it, I already paid lol.

6

u/mileskg21 Oct 19 '24

Looks like I'll have to do my 3rd playthrough

5

u/fearnoid Oct 19 '24

Can’t wait for the part he said “its Waking time”.

1

u/ABandApart Oct 20 '24

Saga: “I guess I’m Alan Wake II after all”

10

u/Anwhut Oct 19 '24

You think Alice will be in AW2?

4

u/Preservationist301 Oct 19 '24

Definitely, they wouldnt waste her as a character after the ending of the first game

3

u/Nakuvayne Oct 19 '24

Do we know at what time it releases?

5

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '24

8am EST if I’m not mistaken.

3

u/roaster-coaster92 Oct 19 '24

Yeah bro, got my physical pre ordered. Not played it yet, played the first years ago, didn’t complete it though. Absolutely loved control, pretty much 100%ed that and the DLCs. Never got round to playing aw2 but my time has finally come! Can’t wait. Managed to stay away from spoilers too

3

u/officialslavojzizek Oct 20 '24

STEAM WHEN

1

u/Sherlockowiec Oct 20 '24

When Epic decides to release it there, or to give the rights to publish the game to Rememdy.

2

u/007knight Oct 19 '24

He got stuck in the spiral, question is are we the final draft or not?

2

u/eremit098 Oct 20 '24

I wonder if Alan will finally get out of the Dark Place in this one. If he does, I hope he can finally rest and be happy, my boy's been through enough 🥲

2

u/WaveLoss Oct 19 '24

I was too dumb to beat this game without a walkthrough. All the scene changes confused me but it’s probably my favorite game.

2

u/rhymeg Oct 20 '24

Glad that I waited. Will play my physical copy on PS5 Pro in Nov.

1

u/GeologistCharacter13 Oct 19 '24

can someone tell me what this game is. keeps getting suggested on my feed

1

u/legotrix Oct 20 '24

it was bad at release for AMD gpu´s but now I am making a run in it, I hope to play it in one shot long run,

better moment like now there is none as we will not take any cliffhanger.

1

u/KitchenMagician94 Oct 20 '24

Im about 90% done with base game right now and I’m so excited to be able to continue the story immediately!

1

u/C_Drew2 Oct 20 '24

For me, it actually does feel like that lol, because I finally preordered the physical edition, and it even includes some nice preorder bonuses. So with that and the fact that I haven't seen anything significant from the game, it legit feels like launch day lol.

1

u/DanimalPlanet42 Oct 20 '24

Im leaving for Japan on the 24th 🥲 might not get to complete before I go

1

u/Greatcorbeenee Oct 20 '24

Oh man I really am excited for this game!!

1

u/KillaKlegends Oct 20 '24

I hate being in the army sometimes. I won’t be able to play it since I’ll be away for training for an entire week

1

u/icy1007 Oct 20 '24

It’s been out for over a year. lol

1

u/Rachsuchtig Oct 20 '24

Why release it on a Tuesday

1

u/paracuja Oct 20 '24

Bought the deluxe version to play it 1 year early 🤣

1

u/Ghozz Oct 20 '24

Bro is using internet explorer from the other side

1

u/JaySouth84 Oct 20 '24

I had it on preorder... The nthe website delisted it -___- NOT HAPPY.

1

u/richtofin819 Oct 20 '24

Eh ill keep my expectations low so i don't get disappointed.

1

u/iBartBro Oct 20 '24

My new pc (neked by me -> theDarkhold ) arrive 24.10.2024. This will be one of the test on it (7800x3d, rtx 4070super) 😍

1

u/basedest_user_123 Champion of Light Oct 20 '24

Yeaaah baby!!!!

1

u/Lordsirtony Diving Deep Oct 21 '24

Super excited to play Alan Wake 2 finally this October 2024, the year it's getting released. It's been a long 14 years since alan wake 1. I hope there's a huge dance scene in this one!

1

u/Articguard11 Oct 19 '24

I'm so confused 😭 such a large inside joke I can't infiltrate

1

u/TorrentAB Oct 20 '24

The joke is that it says the release of Alan Wake 2, not the dlc, so he’s talking about it as if it’s the game getting released and it hadn’t been out yet

2

u/Articguard11 Oct 20 '24

Ohh I didn’t know a DLC was releasing them 😅 lol Ty

I literally just started playing a few days ago and only stumbled on this subreddit because I was definitely NOT doing that bicycle and car riddle.

1

u/Spez269 Oct 19 '24

Enjoy! I finished that game digitally. It is such a fun ride I would give it a 9/10.

1

u/mateusrizzo Oct 19 '24

A sequel 13 years after the original? I bet is going to be lame. Some cash grab to capitalize on a cult classic. I'm certain is not going to be everything I hoped and more and be one of my favorite games of all time.

I heard it will have a musical level! Like, c'mon! It's going to be hot garbage and NOT a earworm (in case you don't know, an earworm is a tune you can't stop humming in a dream)

0

u/Ok-Concentrate8795 Oct 19 '24

Anyone know if this is the last dlc? Kinda want to do all of the dlc in one go.

0

u/NarutoBleachOnePiece Oct 20 '24

In a few short days, I beat The Final Draft and the first Expansion. So, yeah I ready. 100% all the trophies too. I never did find all 12 dear heads but I don't care to either.
